An owner’s perspective.
A builder’s instinct.
Jeff Buesing is the Principal of Labor Group, an independent consulting firm connecting business strategy, digital execution, AI implementation, business acquisitions, and capital-raising support.
Based in South Florida, Jeff works hands-on with owners and founders to connect the opportunity in front of them to a plan, the right resources, and practical execution.
His experience spans e-commerce, telecommunications, mobility, online education, and emerging technology. The common thread is building the systems and experiences that make a business work—not treating the website, brand, or operating model as separate assignments.
Start a conversation with JeffFrom digital consulting to the wider business.
Labor Group has been Jeff's consulting practice since 2013. Its role is broader than creating a digital presence: help an owner understand what to build, how the business should operate, and which opportunities deserve attention.
That can begin with a website or customer journey. It can also begin with a prospective acquisition, a new business model, a capital requirement, or operational complexity that is holding growth back. Jeff's approach is to connect those questions rather than solve one in isolation.
Experience on both sides of the brief.
Jeff's background includes co-founding HoopStudy with basketball trainer DJ Sackmann and founding New Frontier Presents, alongside current work spanning The Weekly, Club Moke, and New York Mobile. These experiences bring the perspective of building and operating ventures into his consulting work.
The roles are not interchangeable. Some projects are ventures, some are consulting engagements, and others reflect founder experience or nonprofit leadership. The work and ventures section identifies the relationship for each profile.
Business discipline. Community purpose.
Jeff's nonprofit work sits under New City Nonprofits, the shared public identity for two separate organizations: New City Housing and New City Family Services. It brings the same hands-on approach to housing initiatives, family-support programs, community partnerships, and the digital systems that make resources easier to access.
Technology in service of a business outcome.
Through Labor Group, Jeff connects brand, digital systems, commerce, and automation to the practical needs of the business. Gary, the firm's proprietary AI agent, supports that operating approach while people remain responsible for direction, review, and decisions.
The objective is not to use technology for its own sake. It is to build a more coherent customer experience, reduce avoidable manual work, and give owners a clearer way to move forward.
Beyond the launch.
A new site is not the finish line. An acquisition needs an operating plan. A capital conversation needs a defensible business case. A growth initiative needs someone to carry it into the details.
Labor Group is designed around that continuity: principal-led strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and appropriate professional advisers brought into the scope where specialist work is required.
